Ward Variety Show & St. Patrick's Day

This is going to be short because I have a lot of studying to do for my anatomy class. So, our ward had their annual variety show this last Saturday. This was our second ward variety show. I can't believe we've been here for over a year! We went to the activity just expecting to sit there and enjoy the entertainment. Little did we know that we would be recruited and become the entertainment. A sister in our ward recruited about 10 people at the last minute to do the "high brow hoe-down." We had to wear a handkerchief and fuzzy stick on eyebrows and do the limbo under a garden hoe. As you can see, Justin got creative with the eyebrows and made them into a mustache. Luckily I only had to hold the hoe, but Justin got to hoe down! Justin was great! He was so animated and funny. Everyone got a kick out of it. We had a lot of fun. The acts were good, the food was great, and we got to meet some new people in our ward.

Can you believe the Pope changed St. Patrick's Day this year? I thought it was crazy, but apparently St. Patrick's Day isn't supposed to interfere with Holy Week again until 2160 so we won't have to worry about that again in our lifetime. Justin and I didn't do a whole lot for the holiday, but I did make a green dinner. I was going to wake up early and make green pancakes for breakfast, but we slept in and I ended up making them for dinner instead. I even used my griddle! After dinner we had mean green machines. Sounds cool huh? Well it is! Mean green machines are green sherbet and white soda mixed together in a blender. It's a tradition in Justin's family to make them every year on St. Patrick's Day. That's all for now!

Justin Boxing on the Wii

Sorry this is so dark. Our friend Locke got a Wii for his birthday and we went over to play it. Justin got really into the games as you can see.
