Tooth #3

Emme had a loose tooth after her accident.  We were really careful for about 2 months and her tooth seemed to be getting better.  One day I noticed an abscess on her gums right above the loose tooth while I was brushing her teeth.  I brought her into the dentist and they told us that her tooth was dissolving at the root.  There was also an infection, which was the cause of the abscess.  It needed to be pulled.  Emme did great once again.  It was so much better after she had the tooth pulled.  She can eat what she wants now, and I'm not paranoid that she is going to knock that tooth out.  Here she is minus 3 teeth!

Flying Monkeys!

Emme LOVES the movie The Wizard of Oz.  We watch the movie and listen to the music all the time.  She also love the Wicked soundtrack.  One day she came up to me with this stuffed monkey and said, "Look!  It's a flying monkey!"  She said it was like the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz.  Funny girl!

Peanuts

We found out earlier this year that Charlie is allergic to peanuts.  We had him tested and his reaction was bad enough that we have to carry an epi pen with us.  This has really opened our eyes and changed the way we buy and handle food.  We have to be careful everywhere we go.  For example, I had the kids in a changing room trying on clothes.  Someone had dropped a peanut on the floor.  I just barely caught Charlie as he went to pick it up off the floor.  This has changed the way we do a lot of things, but it hasn't been as bad as I originally thought.

Here is what happens when Charlie eats something with peanuts.  We are lucky it hasn't been anything worse.

Emmeline's Ballet Class

Emmeline has always loved to dance and sing.  We decided not to do preschool this year, but I still wanted her to participate in some kind of social activity.  Ballet was a perfect fit.  She has class once a week for 30 minutes with other 3 and 4 year olds.  At the end of the year, in June, she will get to be in a dance recital.

She loves her class, her teachers, and the other girls in the class.  It is so much fun to watch all those cute girls every week.  We sure love our little dancer!

UVU Baseball Game

We got the pass of all passes this year, which included free grass seats for a UVU baseball game.  We couldn't pass up the chance to take the kids, so we went to one of the last games of the year.  They had a lot more fun eating snacks and playing in the bouncy house, but I'm glad they had fun.

They also had a lot of fun trying to hit baseballs.

Sister King

Justin's youngest sister Hollie got her mission call earlier this year to Salvador, Brazil.  We are all so excited for her choice to serve a mission!  She left at the end of August.  Hollie went straight to the Brazil MTC, so we got to say goodbye to her at the airport.  We sure do miss her, but glad that she is teaching the good people of Brazil about Christ and his gospel.

Bye Blazer

We bought this Blazer from Justin's Aunt Ruth a couple months before Charlie was born.  I'm pretty sure she bought it brand new.  It was a nice change to have a car with room in it, especially for when we traveled.  As we know, all good things must come to an end.  It died on us, but it was the perfect excuse for us to buy...

...a 2006 Honda Odyssey!  Yeah!!!  I'm probably way more excited than Justin.  It's been awesome.

Ice Cream

We stopped for ice cream on the way home from taking pictures with the family.  Emme and Charlie LOVED it!  I think the pictures speak for themselves.

I love this face!

Ice cream everywhere!

Here we go!

This is good!

Wait!  It's really cold!

It's so good, but it's so cold!  Yikes!!!

Family Photoshoot

We decided to take some family pictures since we were mostly all together during the trip.  We went to Blaine's grandma's farm.  It was such a fun place to take the pictures.  Here is one of the whole group.

I brought our camera and thought I would snap some pictures of the kids while we were waiting for the shots to be set up.  A couple of them turned out really cute, and some others are just fun!

They sure love their daddy!

Best Friends

Typical Emme!

I love this one!

Sweet big sister

Rexburg

Justin's sister Kristin and her husband Blaine live in Rexburg.  They were nice enough to let everyone crash at their place for a couple nights during all the King family fun.  Their son Hyrum is just a month and a half older than Charlie.  Charlie was actually born on Hyrum's blessing day.  They are so cute!

We spent one afternoon at a splash pad near their house.  It was a lot of fun for the kids.  The best part was that there was a carousel there too!  How awesome is that?!

We also had a movie night one night after the kids went to sleep.  Thanks Kristin and Blaine for being such awesome hosts!

Yellowstone

I was so excited when we planned to go to Yellowstone on this trip.  I have only been there once before when I was 11 on a family road trip.  First we visited paintpots.  There was a nice boardwalk, which was great for the kids.

Emme and her cousin Hyrum.  (By the way, Emme picked out that hat all by herself when we were in Aberdeen for Grandpa King's funeral.  She begged us to buy it for her.)

Aunt Sarah and Charlie.  She had just returned from her mission in Tucson, AZ.  We were so excited to be on a family trip with her!

Next we went to see some hot springs.  They were beautiful!

I love this picture!

The colors were amazing!

Next we stopped to eat lunch by Old Faithful.  The kids had a lot of fun playing in the dirt, as you can see!

There she blows!

We had a great time at the park.  After we left, we stopped at a pizza place for dinner in West Yellowstone. It was a great end to a busy day.
