Happy 5th Anniversary!

Friday was our 5th anniversary.  I know I say it every year, but I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  I never imagined we would be poor college students again with 1 kid and another on the way... especially on the big 5.  I always thought we would at least take a fun overnight trip or something.  Even though we couldn't do anything big to celebrate I wouldn't change this time in our lives for anything.  Living on a tight student budget has been a blessing, especially during this time of the year.  Christmas has been a lot more meaningful this year.  Instead of worrying about what gift to give and how much to spend, we have focused on service and enjoying time with our little family.  It has also helped us to plan new family traditions that focus more on Christ during Christmas.

I know I got a little off track, but this really does tie into our anniversary.  So, instead of spending a bunch of money on a big trip or buying each other expensive gifts we chose to celebrate and remember the most important part of our wedding day... our sealing.  We spent a nice night doing sealings in the Provo temple.  It was wonderful to hear the covenants and blessings that were recited on our special day.  I am so grateful for eternal marriage and that Justin and I will be together forever with our family.
Now for a little side note.  We did chose to focus on the temple and what was really important, but Justin also surprised me and took me out for Indian food :)  It was amazing!  Also, thanks to Hollie for watching Emme so we could have such a fun night together.  I don't want to end on a sad note, but also... the Provo Tabernacle burned on our 5th anniversary.  So sad to see.  It will always be a day and an anniversary to remember.

I can't wait for many more years to come.  I LOVE YOU JUSTIN!!!
