Justin and I went camping last weekend with our friends Locke and Katie and their cute daughter Armanie. We went to a place called Mount Diablo, by Danville, which is about an hour from where we live. We had a lot of fun just making dinner and trying to light the damp wood for our fire. Oh, and let's not forget the best part... protecting our food from a couple raccoon bandits that got a little too friendly. So, camping was great except that it was freezing cold at night and that poor Justin had to get out of his nice warm sleeping bag to walk me too the bathroom in the middle of the night. We also had a really cool view overlooking the valley where you could see the city lights at night. Only in California, right? :) The next morning we woke up and drove to the peak of Mount Diablo. They built a building right on top of the peak with an outlook on top. The view was really nice. The funniest part was that when you went inside the building you could literally stand on top of the peak of Mount Diablo. They had a special place where the peak stuck out from the floor. Again, only in California. The pictures here are a view of the sunset from our campsite, Justin and Locke preparing dinner in our camp, a glimpse of our raccoon bandit, and us at the peak.

Here is a video of one of the more exciting parts of our camping experience. This is Justin and Locke trying to light our damp wood with a little too much boy scout water. Sorry for the scream, but the whole thing startled me because I was looking at the camera when it happened.
