The weather was rainy today, so we decided to go to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum in Milwaukee. If you are ever in the area you have to go. It was amazing! They even had a toddler area that was perfect for Emme. The toddler area had a little house with a kitchen that had pots and pans on the wall that you could bang on. Emme liked the flowers on the windowsill on the outside of the house. There was a sand box, a vegetable garden, a tunnel, rocking horses, slides, and drums. She loved it!
After the toddler area we decided to take a look at the rest of the museum. There were a bunch of stations where the children could work. They had a vet office, a news stations, a post office, a mechanic, and a grocery store. Emme LOVED the grocery store. She loved putting everything in her basket and pushing the cart around. There was a bakery, deli, refrigerator section, produce section, meat section, floral section, and checkout counter.
There was a section of the museum that was a giant game board all about healthy eating and habits. There was another one all about music and the arts. It had a floor keyboard, a dance studio, a theatre, a puppet show and an orchestra that you could conduct. So cool! There was a section that had giant tinker toys and a huge ball track. The last section was a dairy where you could feed/ milk a cow, groom a horse, pick corn, etc.
Emme was exhausted by the time we left. We had so much fun! I made a slide show that is posted below. There were just too many good pictures today!
We got home tonight and had a really good dinner. I thought the vegetables looked so cool! I found an old stuffed animal of mine. The monkey is as big as Emme. She thought it was the coolest thing. Also, Emme has been putting toys in her mouth and walking around with them. She thinks it's so funny! We had a great day!
